Cannot Login to wp-admin on Local

Hi, I can’t login to wp-admin on any of my local sites. The problem is pretty much the same as described in this thread:

The WP login page just keeps on waiting for a response when I enter my username and password. There are no errors in the console. Clearing the cache, restarts and using an incognito window doesn’t solve the problem. I created a new site and can’t get into the WP dashboard on that either. I am able to login when using a different browser than Chrome. However, I would like to keep using Local with Chrome.

Any ideas on how I might be able to get the login working again? As it is I can’t work on any site without opening a different browser.

Hey @guitarnoise

Since there are not any console errors, and it works in other browsers, it might be a chrome extension causing the issues.

Have you tried disabling all of your extensions to see if it will work then?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I tried it with all the extensions disabled and it still doesn’t load. If I enter the wrong credentials it loads right away. Using the correct details never loads.

This problem only started to occur after updating to Local version 3.3.0. I didn’t have any problems with the previous version.

After some more troubleshooting, it seems to be a bug in the recent version of Chrome. We’ve just created a new topic with a couple of solutions

Let us know if that fixes things!
