Kudos to you for taking the dive into a Beta OS! 
We haven’t really taking Local for a full spin on that yet, but this error stands out to me:

Usually that indicates that there’s something going wrong within the Virtual Machine.
Can you try restarting the VM by going to “Help > Restart Local Machine”.
If that doesn’t work, then follow the steps outlined in this topic to forcefully shut down and restart the VM:
If those things don’t work, then you might need to re-create the Virtual Machine by deleting it within VirtualBox and then starting Local to recreate the VM.
