Welcome to the community! Can you describe in a little more detail where things are breaking down? If you have a screenshot that can help.

Having the same issue. After starting the app it immediately is stuck on “Checking System…” Error log is attached. Thank you for any assistance.

From the local log, it looks like Local was working for a while, and sites were able to be added. When did Local start having this issue of turning on?

There are two error lines that stand out to me:

and

Apr 29, 2019, 8:51 PM EDT - error: [main/docker-machine] Error enabling host DNS resolver for Docker Machine 

That makes me think there is some sort of issue with the Docker daemon inside the Virtual Machine. Can you try restarting the VM by going to “Help > Restart Local Machine”.

If that doesn’t work, then follow the steps outlined in this topic to forcefully shut down and restart the VM:

  1. “Help > Restart Local Machine” does not resolve the issue.
  2. I do not see a VirtualBox on my computer (see attached image).

Fixed! Downloaded VirtualBox, ran it, Local by Flywheel started right up. Did not need to do ACPI Shutdown.
