URL forward to local site

Hello

I have no experience with Local by Flywheel. I work with Wordpress and I have domain let’s say mydomain.com. I wanted to migrate this site to local environment but when I click ‘view site’ it forward me to mydomain.com. I’ve tried to fix this but now when I write mydomain.com in browser it forward me to local.test (test was my local name site). I’ve deleted Local Flywheel and VirtualBox and it still forward (unless I use incognito). Do you know what’s going on? I’m completely beginner.

Hey @patryk

To clarify, have you imported a site into Local and now are trying to view it?

Ideally, the URLs for a site in Local are different from the production site – this allows you to view both of them at the same time. It’s pretty typical for people to use a url that ends with .local to indicate that it is the site on their machine.

For example, if the main site is at example.com then the site in Local would be example.local.

The fact that things are still forwarding except for when in an incognito window makes me think that it had to do with caching in the browser.

Hope that makes sense. If things aren’t quite working the way that you think they should, can you provide some screenshots of Local as well as the site in the browser so that I can get a better idea of what might be going on?
