Working with local by flywheel has been a frustrating experience after three days I finally got it up and running. I had to use custom and use Apache to get to work. The default gave me did not secure error. However the website on local has many problems and did not very well duplicate my live site. Many plug-ins were missing. none of them were active. Media was not transferred. there blank squares were images should be. The menus or incorrect and out of place. Local may work on a Mac but on a Windows machine it appears to be still in development.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience with Local on Windows 10.
Do you remember what the specific error was when you tried the use the Preferred environment? Was it an error about an untrusted certificate?
Did you use Connect to Flywheel to push the site from Local or did you use another solution?
